Robertson's
Robertson's Golden Shred is the leading brand in the UK preserves market, and has held a Royal Warrant since 1933.
Founded in 1864, it first produced marmalade in the back of the shop, but soon a factory was set up to meet increased demand and jam and mincemeat were added to the range.
The most recognised Robertson's product is Golden Shred - the world's best marmalade, great on toast and a must for every family's cupboard! Robertson's jam is also the best-known jam in Britain, with nine of its flavours making the top 50 best-selling jam products list!
As well as undergoing a recent packaging revamp, the recipe for Robertson's jams has been made even better, with at least 28% more fruit. The range has also been extended to include Berries & Cherries and Strawberry & Vanilla, adding a twist to classic flavours.
The mincemeat range has also grown, with Rum & Raisin and Brandy & Date variants lining up alongside Robertson's Classic Mincemeat.
Today Golden Shred remains the world’s biggest marmalade, with annual sales topping £13 million! Robertson’s share of the market by value is 24%, and it grew 4% last year – which is quite a feat for such a dominant market leader.
